Marketing & Business...
Most of us, when we think of a business plan for our massage practice, think of sitting down in front of the computer and planning, thinking and challenging our brains to the point of difficulty. But you know it doesn’t have to be like that at all. In fact it can be really fun doing a massage business plan.
Creating Your Business Vision:
Imagine for a moment that you have decided to build a new house. When you make this decision, you automatically know that there is a set of specific steps that you must follow to ensure that your new home becomes a reality.
These steps are...
(1) Identify your needs – The housing needs of a young single person will be quite different from those of a married couple who have five children.
(2) Develop your vision – With the aid of an architect you must then develop a clear picture of what your finished home will look like.
(3) Create a plan – Once you have a clear vision of what you are trying to build, you will then need to work with your architect and builder to create a plan which tells the builders exactly what to do to make your vision a reality. Your plan should also include a series of deadlines to keep everything on track and to make sure that your home is completed on time.
I’m sure that none of these steps comes as a surprise to you. In the context of building a house, they are quite obvious. However, what may surprise you, is to discover that these are exactly the same steps that you need to take to develop a successful massage therapy business.
In this chapter, I will act as your ‘business architect’ and together we will develop a step-by-step plan for creating your own successful massage business.
